Janet Bennett studied harp and singing at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.Equally at home playing the celtic harp and larger concert harp she has played with many professional ensembles and orchestras including the Scottish National and Northern Sinfonia. Her main love however is singing with self accompaniment and she is currently delighting audiences from all over the world with this art form, having performed to Royalty and civic dignitaries.

Now resident in Newcastle upon Tyne, Janet gives regular concerts, has released several recordings, made numerous radio and television appearances and enjoys performing traditional music and song with her group "The Border Minstrels" (Celtic Harp/Northumbrian Pipes and Fiddle).

Janet is often invited to perform for church and civil wedding ceremonies, receptions and special occasions.
