Fiona
Rutherford
Fiona
began playing the harp aged 14 and quickly discovered a love
of writing new music for the instrument. She studied at ‘The
City of Edinburgh Music School’ and went on to study for
a degree in Music Composition at Dartington College of Arts.
She especially enjoys collaboration work — having written
for theatre and film. She was the composer for feature length
film ‘The Inheritance’ which won The Raindance Award’ for
new talent at the British Independent Film Awards 2007. Fiona
also really enjoys teaching the harp to adults and children of
all ages.
Besides music, Fiona sometimes likes to go swimming and enjoys
the occasional laughing fit. Much of her remaining spare time is
spent looking for objects she has lost (not always successful!) |
