This is the “Golden Harp”, a new teaching method for Celtic Harp. There are simple exercises with corresponding little pieces, which allow every child to get familiar with the Celtic Harp and to learn a good basic technique in its own time. It is possible to start to learn the Celtic Harp at an early age (at 7 years, sometimes even earlier), and this book should be good fun and yet be efficient. Explications about technique, the repertoire, creativeness etc. have been reduced to a minimum. The harp teacher can add to each exercise supplementary pieces of his own choice according to his experience. The “Golden Harp” is the result of eight year’s work of teaching the Celtic harp at the Quimper Conservatory of Music. I am also very grateful for the collaboration with my pupils and I thank them sincerely.
I wish you a lot of fun in starting to learn the Celtic Harp.
