These tunes are dedicated to my students, many of whom play on 26 or 27 string lever instruments. The tunes are intended for instruments tuned in Eb major (3 flats), where the lowest string is the C below middle C. None of the pieces require lever changes (apart from to set the harp in the correct key at the start of the piece).

These miniatures, unlike some of my other works, are individual “stand-alone” pieces and are not intended to form a suite.

Although written with the span of the small harp in mind, these tunes can, of course, also be played on larger clarsachs or indeed on pedal harp.

** The Ringing Harp has an optional flute/violin/oboe part that is included in the score.
