I love this Welsh melody, and I think its elegantly simple beauty is best served by keeping the accompaniment flowing but clear and unfussy. I’ve written a descant for the second verse, which complements the melody by often moving in parallel 3rds or 6ths. Whenever I’ve rehearsed this with a school ensemble, any other staff nearby seem to go into a serene and blissful state, so it’s definitely a very therapeutic piece!

Although I’ve arranged it for a 3-part ensemble, I’ve also provided an optional extra simple harmony part, and a part for anyone who feels happier just playing the melody throughout - but don’t let that descant get drowned out!

I’ve added the chord names into the Melody Only part, in case there’s a guitarist nearby who’s feeling left out and wants to arpeggiate along with the harps...
