Dark Eyes - is a traditional tune often performed as a party piece. The tune is played many times, separated by improvisation. Often it begins quietly and slowly, before gradually increasing in speed and volume until it can go no faster. To represent this I have placed dynamics and metronome markings accordingly, and the performer should aim for a gradual accelerando and crescendo throughout the whole piece. In terms of the speed these are only a guide, you may want to take more or less time to increase the speed. Or you may even take it faster than I do, if you dare! Ben Creighton Griffiths
