Fingering:  The fingering in this music is the fingering I use when playing these tunes. Please try it, but if it doesn’t work for you, you don’t have to use it.

Dynamics: I have chosen not to include any dynamics in any of the music in this book. I feel that with traditional music, dynamics are something that should be expressed by the player and they will be forever changing. So please try and discover these yourself.

Ornamentation:  I use ornamentation (grace notes, embellishments etc.) when playing the music in this book but have not included it in the notation. Please try and explore your own way of ornamenting the music to put your own 'accent’ on tunes.
