The Theme and Variations on a Swedish Folk Tune is based on a popular Swedish folk tune called Katten och killingen (The Cat and the Kid), a nursery rhyme which was often sung to a variant of the famous La Follia tune. For interpretation I would tentatively suggest finishing the piece by playing Variation 4, but this is of course left to individual harpists, as are the indications of fingering and dynamics.
