Jean Chatillon was born from a family of musicians, in 1937, in Nicolet. In 1951, he began to play piano and to compose. At first self-taught, then he made serious musical studies with the master Conrad Letendre in Montreal. In 1969, he has founded the Section of Music of the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres and leached there until 1981. Retired since that year, he dedicated himself to his art. Very prolific, he has written very many works in music and in litterature.He is an accepted composer at the Canadian Center of Music. |

Jorge Gornez Labrana was born in 1942, in Barcelona. He has given his first concert at the age of 11 years with the Orchestra of Radio in La Havana. He has studied in La Havana, Paris and Budapest, with the masters Carida Mezquida, Pierre Sancan and Gat Joszef. He won many important prizes like the following contests: Enescu in Bucarest, Tchaikowsky in Moscow and Liszt Bartok in Budapest. He has been director of the Piano Department of Superior Institute of Arts in La Havana from 1987 to 1992. He has given numerous concerts and recitals in various countries. He lives in Montréal since 1994. |

That music, composed at the end of april 2000, is now used as musical theme for the radiophonic programme with the same name. Animated by Mrs Carole Trahan, it is presented on the Cultural Channel of Radio-Canada. |
